Terms of Service

Last updated: November 5, 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and [LEGAL ENTITY NAME] (“Gamendar”, “we”, “us”), the operator of the website and service at gamendar.org (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, don’t use the Service.

1. Who can use Gamendar

You must be at least 13 years old, or older where your country requires it (for example 16 in Germany, the Netherlands and Ireland), to create an account. If you are under 18 (or the age of majority where you live), you confirm that a parent or guardian has reviewed these Terms with you, and only a parent or guardian may buy a subscription. We don’t knowingly allow children below these ages to use the Service; if we learn that one has, we will delete the account.

2. Your account

3. Groups and Group Admins

Gamendar is organised into groups. The person who creates a group is its Group Admin and may make other members Group Admins. Group Admins can create and delete events, create and revoke invite links, remove members, connect integrations and manage the group’s subscription. Anyone holding a valid invite link can join the group, so share links only with people you trust. Group Admins are responsible for the integrations they connect and the content their group posts through them. Group Admins are not our employees or agents.

4. Your content

You keep ownership of what you submit (for example group names, event titles, notes and profile pictures, “Your Content”). You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display and transmit Your Content only as needed to operate, secure and improve the Service, including showing it to members of your groups and sending it to integrations your Group Admins have connected. This license ends when Your Content is deleted, except for copies in backups that are deleted on our normal schedule. You confirm you have the rights to Your Content and that it doesn’t violate these Terms or anyone’s rights.

5. Acceptable use

Don’t use the Service to:

We may remove content or suspend or terminate accounts or groups that violate these Terms, with or without notice where the law allows. You can report abuse to [email protected].

7. Integrations and third-party services

Integrations (Discord, Slack, Microsoft Teams, Telegram and email) send group information, including usernames and availability, to services you or your Group Admins choose. Those services are run by others under their own terms and privacy policies, and we aren’t responsible for them.

8. Our intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, text, graphics and the Gamendar name and logo, is owned by [LEGAL ENTITY NAME] or its licensors and protected by intellectual-property laws. Except for the limited right to use the Service under these Terms, we grant you no rights in it. Feedback you give us may be used without obligation to you. Copyright complaints: see our Copyright & DMCA Policy.

9. Ending your use

You may delete your account at any time from your profile. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or if we stop offering the Service (in which case we will give reasonable notice and refund any prepaid, unused subscription period). Sections that by their nature should survive (including 4, 8, 10–13) survive termination.

10. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We don’t promise the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free or that notifications will always be delivered on time. Gamendar is a scheduling tool; we are not responsible for events, games or meet-ups that members arrange, or for the conduct of other users, online or offline. Some jurisdictions don’t allow certain disclaimers, so some of these may not apply to you.

11. Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, [LEGAL ENTITY NAME] AND ITS OWNERS, EMPLOYEES AND SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AND (B) US$50. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that can’t be limited by law, including for fraud, gross negligence, or death or personal injury caused by negligence, or your rights as a consumer under mandatory law.

12. Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you will indemnify us against third-party claims arising from Your Content or your breach of these Terms. This doesn’t apply to consumers where the law prohibits it.

13. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of [STATE/COUNTRY], without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Before filing a claim, please contact us at [email protected] so we can try to resolve it informally within 60 days. [ATTORNEY TO DECIDE: venue clause, and whether to include a binding individual arbitration clause with class-action waiver and 30-day opt-out for US users.] If you are a consumer in the EU, UK or another country with mandatory consumer protections, you keep those protections and may bring claims in the courts where you live. The European Commission’s online dispute resolution platform is at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

14. Security research

We welcome good-faith reports of security vulnerabilities at [email protected]. Don’t access, modify or delete other users’ data, degrade the Service, or use social engineering, and give us reasonable time to fix an issue before disclosing it. We won’t pursue legal action against research that follows these rules.

15. Changes

We may update these Terms. For material changes we will give at least 30 days’ notice by email or in the app, and ask you to accept the new version when you next sign in. If you don’t agree, you may delete your account (and cancel any subscription) before the changes take effect.

16. General

These Terms, together with the policies linked from them, are the entire agreement between you and us about the Service. If a provision is unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. Our not enforcing a provision isn’t a waiver. You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, with notice to you.
